I can’t believe I had already graduated from high school. Time really goes by quickly and soon I will be saying goodbye to you. These past two years of piano lessons with you is more than a blessing. Graduating speech
at June 2017 Recital
We’ve been going to Mrs. Koffman for about 9 years now, and there’s no place we would rather be for our piano lessons. When we first came here, we were immediately drawn to her understanding and caring nature. During lessons, she is patient, listens to our opinions, and cares about us, asking questions about our lives outside of piano. She made practicing all about quality and not quantity. We are grateful for Mrs. Koffman for introducing us to the Certificate of Merit program and encouraging us and helping us in any way possible. Our experience in the CM Program has broadened our minds to the wonders of the piano and has given us a greater appreciation for music. We have participated in numerous festivals and conventions, but our favorite is the senior home recitals, for it has given us a chance to give back and share our love for the piano and bring happiness to others. Even though I completed the Advanced level two years ago, I have decided to continue with piano lessons to maintain my skills. Mrs. Koffman has continued to find ways to keep lessons engaging and fun, by introducing me to various styles of music, from jazz, to musical theater, to pop songs, and to many duets with both her and my brother. Piano has taught us perseverance, dedication, and has given us an outlet to express ourselves. Although I am going off to college, I will never stop playing the piano. Thanks to Mrs. Koffman, I now have the ability to open any music book and play any song I desire. We appreciate everything she has taught us throughout the years, and we would certainly not be the pianists or the human beings we are today without her.
